Our Scope of Services
Carl Hamm stands for the highest quality in pipes and fittings—also in tunnel construction. We manufacture both pipes and fittings for horizontal and vertical use at our Essen facility, equipped with the connection type specified by the customer.
With decades of experience in underground mining, we are also well-equipped to assist our clients in selecting the most suitable connection system for their specific application.

Collar pipes
We offer seamless or welded steel pipe with groove ends welded on both sides, manufactured to Victaulic specifications. Our range includes both in-house production and imports from China, which are available in both new and used condition. The pipes are available in raw black or galvanized finish, with options for special coatings.
Grooved tubes
Seamless or welded steel pipes with rolled grooves on both sides are particularly suitable for mechanical connections in piping systems. The rolled grooves enable quick and reliable assembly using grooved connectors, without welding or thread cutting.

Flange pipes
Flanges enable easy assembly, disassembly and maintenance of piping systems. They provide excellent tightness, even at high pressures and temperatures, and are available in various standards and sizes to meet specific project requirements.

Couplings from various manufacturers
With SK joining technology, pipes of the same type can be connected and disconnected quickly and easily. This technique, often referred to as Lanninger pipes, uses hot-dip galvanized steel pipes, typically 6 metres long and up to 300 mm internal diameter. At the end are cardan couplings with an O-ring for sealing. The couplings allow the pipes to be angled by at least 6° to compensate for uneven floors or to build curves. Individual pipes can be replaced without having to move the entire pipeline. The system includes elbows, T-pieces, gate valves and transition pieces for various connection systems.

Cast grooved fittings according to coupling
We offer high-quality cast and SK systems from various manufacturers, including split coupling systems with profile ring seals and matching accessories. This includes fittings such as elbows, tees, and reducers—available either as cast fittings or made of steel with pre-welded collars.
Our collar types are available both rolled and cut, covering a size range from 33.7 mm to 630 mm and pressure ratings up to 69 bar, depending on the size. To best suit your application, various surface finishes are available: black (uncoated), painted, or galvanized.
